The second approach may require multiple attempts (per the Macrium blog post previously referenced) - i.e., multiple rounds of repairing followed by cloning, so the imaging strategy may be less frustrating if you have sufficient storage media to hold the image. Thus, if you want to solve your problem using Reflect, your options are evidently to first image the failing SSD (with Ignore bad sectors) and then restore the image onto the working SSD, or alternatively, to perform another repair (e.g., with Hard Disk Sentinel) followed immediately by a cloning attempt. commented in 2015 and in 2019 that a similar functionality was under consideration for cloning operations would be interesting to hear how far back in the backlog this feature may be as of 2021. In Reflect, the "Ignore bad sectors" option is apparently only available for creating images, but not for cloning.
